Well, here's the story:

My last 2 guitars have been fitted with a pinless bridge design kinda like Elliot guitars invented, with rod pins that let the string end balls hook on to. Unfortunately last night I wasn't paying to much attention (again ) and pushed one of the pins in too far down and its too low to be able to hold the string in place if I could get a good grip on the rod I would try to twist and pull it out but that its not the case. too little room in there I was thinking if I could some how loosen the CA that holds the rod in place I could just push it thru and that would be it!
the question is: does any one know of a good way to loose the CA without damaging the bridge? please?

Any help would be more than welcome
Thanks in advance

I think acetone will dissolve CA. Maybe try to 'wick' some in by the rod with a pipette while pushing. Be carefull not to drip it on your finish if it's dissolved by acetone, maybe mask off your soundboard. An icepick might be a good tool to push the rod.....grind the sharp point down.

I'd personally apply a soldering iron (a CLEAN TIPPED one that's NOT tinned), and push on through.

Peter,

Yeah, try what Mattia said, I forgot about that one. If the tip is 'tinned', get it hot and wipe it clean with a wet sponge or cloth.

Yup, I should try the soldering iron! I'll wait to see if anyone else comes up with any other idea!
Thanks

Nail polish = Acetone + soap + fragrance + coloring.

Good thing I took all that math in the second grade! Paying off big time now!
